Nos chercheurs

Les trente-deux professeurs et quatre professeurs de clinique du Département dirigent des programmes de recherche à la fine pointe de la biochimie et de la bio-informatique. De plus, quarante professeurs accrédités ou associés, oeuvrant dans différents centres ou instituts de recherche (BRI, CR-CHUM, HMR, ICM, IRCM, IRIC, Ste-Justine), participent à la formation d’étudiants aux cycles supérieurs du Département et contribuent à une plus grande diversification de la recherche et de l’enseignement.

Avec plus de 200 étudiants aux cycles supérieurs, des stagiaires postdoctoraux et professionnels de la recherche, ils mènent des activités de recherche regroupées selon 5 axes de recherche qui portent sur les mécanismes fondamentaux de la vie et les fondements moléculaires de la médecine.

Promotion/nomination

Nous sommes heureux d’annoncer la titularisation de Nathalie Grandvaux, effectif le premier juin 2017. Mme Grandvaux dont les laboratoires sont situés au Centre de recherche du CHUM s’intéresse aux mécanismes de défense antiviraux, notamment à l’immunité innée et à l’inflammation.

Nous félicitons Karim Benkirane pour sa nomination en tant que professeur-adjoint de clinique. Monsieur Benkirane est un biochimiste clinique qui travaille à l’Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont.

Prix Julius Axelrod

Michel Bouvier a été récompensé pour ses contributions à titre de scientifique et de mentor par le prix Julius Axelrod en pharmacologie 2017. Ce prix est octroyé par l’American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics.
