\"\"The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine provides a dynamic environment of research<\/a> and teaching in the areas of Biochemistry, Molecular Medicine and Bioinformatics. The Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al is one of the top 3 research Universities in Canada and the Department of Biochemistry is among the strongest research department in the country.<\/p>\n

Our modern laboratories are equipped with state-of-the art equipment and the scientific platforms<\/a> available within the Department and its affiliated research institutes provide ideal work conditions for the more than 200 graduate students<\/a> in biochemistry and bioinformatics. In addition, the 350 plus students in our undergraduate biochemistry program participate in our research activities through laboratory internships as part of their curriculum.<\/p>\n

Our new undergraduate program<\/a> in Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine is unique in Canada. This new program offers a flexible education that is designed to provide diversified training in biomedical research that meets the constantly changing interests of our students.
